Asking and answering questions about daily routines
The unit follows the story of Martin Willis, a university student interviewing for a temporary summer job. The unit explores the vocabulary and syntax needed to hold an intermediate-level conversation about daily routines. Students will encounter the language necessary to ask and answer questions about daily habits and general availabilities.
Hours: Approximately 9 hours
Unit Objectives:
- By the end of the unit, you should be able to:
- Present yourself, provide your availabilities and general information about yourself: studies, driving license, hobbies, etc.
- Ask someone about themselves, the reason for their visit, their availabilities, and general information about themselves: studies, driving license, hobbies, etc.
- Describe someone else, the reason for their visit, their availability for work, and general information about themselves: studies, driving license, hobbies, etc.
- The unit explores key vocabulary used to present one's daily routine. The unit provides the language needed to ask and answer questions and a very general vocabulary that could apply to many people. Guided exercises are paired with conversational activities to help develop a vocabulary best suited to their context, such as studies, diplomas, availabilities, etc.
