It depends on your goal. If you’re a complete beginner, expect a minimum of 40 hours to build a solid foundation and progress steadily. For those looking to move up a level, we generally recommend a structured course of at least 40 hours.

If you’re looking for a language refresher, a shorter 10-hour course can help you review key concepts and regain confidence.

For FIDE preparation, you can take as little as one hour to assess your level and familiarize yourself with the test format, or a longer course if you need to improve your skills.

You can start almost immediately in private classes or private group classes. Group classes depend on when we form a new group.

We do our best to place you in a group with students at a similar level and with a schedule that works for you. Even if you’re a complete beginner, we’ll find a group that moves at your pace.

Yes! We offer a free information session where we assess your level and give you a short lesson using our method. This allows you to experience our teaching style first-hand and see if it’s the right fit for you.

Consultations are in person at our office in downtown Geneva, online via video call or by phone. Let us know your preference when booking.

We’ll have a conversation where we ask a variety of questions to assess your comprehension, vocabulary, sentence structure, rhythm, and fluency. We may also use audio exercises to evaluate your listening skills if needed.

This helps us understand your current level and recommend the right course for you. The questions and conversation are designed to assess both your use of grammar structures and the speed at which you speak and comprehend.

The evaluation can take a few minutes or up to 10 minutes, depending on different factors. For example, if someone has a pre-prepared introduction, we’ll ask additional questions to ensure their level is consistent across topics they haven’t specifically prepared for.
