Our Courses
Individual and group classes for every language level
Find your perfect fit with My Linguistics and choose from our range of classes below.
French language courses
Immerse yourself in the French language: Learn French for daily situations, improve your business French, or prepare for the FIDE exam. Our lessons focus on guided speaking practice, reformulation, and progressive interaction tasks that build real conversational control. This approach develops the confidence and communicative independence needed to navigate daily and professional life in Switzerland.
FIDE French pathway: A1 > B1 for Swiss integration
We offer a clear, structured preparation pathway for learners who need French for residency or permit renewal in Switzerland. This pathway supports progression from A1 to B1 through speaking-focused practice and guided exam preparation.
English classes
Improve your business English and strengthen your speaking, writing, and presentation skills in individual or small-group classes. Lessons are built around guided interaction, systematic feedback, and progressive speaking tasks that help you use English confidently from the first sessions.
What learning progress typically looks like
While each learner progresses at their own pace, language development at My Linguistics generally follows a clear progression linked to active speaking practice and regular use of the language.

– Beginner (0/A1): Start taking part in simple, real-life conversations
– A1 > A2: Manage everyday interactions without relying on prepared scripts
– A2 > B1: Sustain conversations and communicate confidently in familiar personal and professional situations
– B1+: Express ideas with increasing precision, handle more complex discussions, and participate comfortably in longer conversations at work or in study contexts
This progression is supported by guided practice, intuitive grammar integration, and consistent spoken interaction.
Levels from A1 (Beginner) to B2 (Upper Intermediate).
Language levels covered
We work across CEFR levels from A1 (Beginner) to B2 (Upper Intermediate), with guided progression pathways tailored to your starting point and goals. All levels follow the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), the European standard used for academic, professional, and integration assessment.
Every learner begins with a placement assessment so we can design the right level plan from day one.
Level 1:
CEFR reference: A1 > A2
Start from zero and build toward practical A2 conversational independence. You will learn to introduce yourself, manage everyday situations, handle basic administrative tasks, and participate in simple work-related exchanges.
Level 2:
CEFR reference: A2 > low B1
For learners who already communicate at basic level. This phase strengthens structural accuracy, expands vocabulary, and develops more natural, connected speech — preparing you for full B1 performance.
Level 3:
CEFR reference: B1
Develop the ability to explain opinions, narrate experiences, manage professional conversations, and function confidently in everyday life. Suitable for learners targeting FIDE B1 or structured integration goals.
Level 4:
CEFR reference: B1+ > B2
Increase precision, range, and flexibility. Engage in longer discussions, handle more complex professional scenarios, and refine accuracy in both speaking and writing.
Level 5:
CEFR reference: B2 > B2+
Strengthen abstract thinking, professional communication, structured writing, and debate skills. This level focuses on refinement, clarity, and independence rather than rapid jumps.
How You’ll Learn with Us
Each lesson is built around real-life communication. You practice speaking, listening, and interacting in structured scenarios that reflect daily, professional, and exam situations.
Grammar is integrated through guided use rather than isolated theory. Corrections are clear and systematic, helping you build accuracy without interrupting fluency.
Lessons are focused, interactive, and designed to ensure steady progression through consistent spoken practice.

For adults who hesitate to speak — especially at the beginning
This approach is designed for adult learners who want to start speaking from the very first lessons, whether they are starting from zero or returning to a language learned in the past.

It is particularly suited to adults who feel blocked when speaking, prefer learning through use rather than studying grammar rules, or felt uncomfortable in traditional classroom settings.
Learning is structured to reduce pressure while supporting steady progress:
– Speaking from the first lesson, even at beginner level
– Grammar introduced intuitively through guided practice
– Gentle correction and reformulation to develop structure naturally
– Private and small-group learning formats
The focus is on helping learners access the structure of the language through communication, so progress remains practical and manageable.
