Describing your weekend trip
The unit explores the vocabulary and syntax necessary to hold an upper intermediary conversation about your or someone's recent travels. Using the case study of two acquaintances discussing their weekend, students discover vocabulary related to describing recent events such as a weekend trip.
Hours: Approximately 8 hours
Unit Objectives:
- By the end of the unit, you should be able to:
- Describe and answer questions about recent travels: Who you went with, where you went, how everything went, what you felt like, and when you got back, etc.
- Ask questions about someone's recent travels: Who they went with, where they went, how everything went, what they felt like, and when they got back, etc.
- Describe someone's recent travels: Who they went with, where they went, how everything went, what they felt like, when they got back, etc.
- The unit explores vocabulary and syntax used to describe recent travels, such as weekend trips, and how they went. Guided exercises are paired with various spoken activities to help students acquire a vocabulary best suited to their activities. Students should be able to describe where they like to travel, how they get there etc.
