A Weekend in the Country

Describing someone's weekend

The unit follows the story of Jack, who lives in the city. Jack travels to the country to stay at his friend's for the weekend. Through guided exercises, students explore the vocabulary and syntax needed to hold an advanced intermediate conversation about someone's weekend: traveling arrangements, impressions, emotions, and activities.

Hours: Approximately 12 hours

Unit Objectives:

  1. By the end of the unit, you should be able to:
    • Describe someone's weekend: where they went, who they went with, how they felt about going there, their general emotions, and their activities over the weekend.
    • Ask questions about someone's weekend: where they went, who they went with, how they felt about going there, their general emotions, and their activities over the weekend.
  2. The unit explores vocabulary used to discuss someone's weekend.
