Cue Cards
The objective of the Cue Cards is to help students speak and help students talk about subjects that they may otherwise not encounter. The exercises present a fun and dynamic way of stimulating conversations.
One student selects a character card with basic information about the person and reads through it. The other student uses a question card with examples of possible questions. The person with the question card asks questions, and the other answers with the help of the character card. Students are also encouraged to use their imagination to add details.
The objective of the exercise is for students to speak. Throughout the course, students are guided through exercises to help them improve their language skills. In contrast, this is a free-flowing exercise. Students should simply be free to speak. It is unimportant if they make mistakes. It is important that the student practice speaking and improve their fluency by doing so.
