Inquiring about other people, describing others, introducing others

The unit's objective is to familiarize you with a lower intermediate vocabulary and syntax necessary to ask questions about others and introduce someone. You will also study how to introduce yourself.

Hours: Approximately 5 hours

Unit Objectives:

  1. By the end of the unit, you should be able to:
    • Introduce yourself and ask people questions about themselves: where they are from, where they are going, how long they are traveling, and other general information.
    • Ask and answer questions about other people: Where they're from, how long they are traveling, their profession, and additional general information.
  2. The exercises provide students with the key vocabulary necessary to introduce themselves to someone, ask someone about themselves or provide information about someone. Students are also encouraged, through conversational exercises, to build vocabulary related to their specific needs.
